Born on January 1st, 1974, Daniel “Dino” Melaye is a Nigerian politician and actor who served as the senator for Kogi West in the eighth National Assembly. When Dino Melaye was a first-year geography student at Ahmadu Bello University, he actively participated in the student union.

The federal authorities sued Dino for allegedly providing false information about a fictional attack on his life.
A failed attempt on the life of Mr. Melaye was purportedly made in April 2017 by Yahaya Bello, the governor of the state of Kogi. Mr. Bello and Mr. Melaye frequently clashed in what many perceived as a struggle for power in the state.
